Wall Street

I was too lazy to wear a suit for a special event last weekend.  So in honor of one of my favorite movies, I went "Wall Street".  Every time I think of Wall Street I see Michael Douglas in his contrast collar shirt.  I wasn't bold enough to do suspenders so I guess you can call it Prep x Wall Street.

Food Day

I was filtering through our photo archives and I found some pictures from last month's LA Street Food Fest.  If there is anything I love as much as clothes and shoes, it's food. Roughly 30+ food trucks and thousands of people showed up at this event.  Food trucks like Buttermilk Truck, Grilled Cheese Truck, Flying Pig, and Komodo are the hottest craze in Los Angeles and they were all present and within reach from each other. As long as you were prepared to endure the marathon wait and lines.  It was a wild, hot, crowded, and crazy day. All for the love of amazing street food.

My absolute favorite cart/truck was Dogzilla.  Japanese style hot dogs on hawaiian sweet bread is pure bliss.

It was raining all week leading up to this perfect Southern California Saturday.  At a suprising 85+ degrees in the middle of February, I forgot my shorts and flip flops at home.

Lefties.

We were fortunate enough to be invited to the Lefties Showroom opening party this weekend. Lefties currently occupies an amazing showroom located at the Cooper Design Space in Los Angeles. Their roster includes lines such as DAT-TI, Daughters of the Revolution, Kettle Black, Jen's Pirate Booty, Hellz Bellz, and Kima Norway.  More importantly, the beautiful ladies of Lefties know how to throw and host an amazing party.  It was a successful opening filled with music, drinks, and great people.

Melissa Naguiat is 1/2 of the Lefties and also a great friend of ours.

Photo booths are so much fun!

85 Degrees and Rising

So it's starting to get hot in Southern Cali.  This time of the year is always bitter sweet.  As I say hello to shorts, tanks, tees, polos, and flip flops; I also have to say goodbye to my sweaters, jackets, and boots.  It was 85 degrees in LA last night and I had to bring out my favorite TOMS canvas slip-ons.  TOMS are fantastic.  I'd go ahead and tag them as the best travel shoes of all time.  Not only are they comfortable but TOMS are the easiest pair of shoes to remove during security checks. Beats having to take my socks off and unlace my sneakers only to put them all back together again.  Saves me at least 10 minutes since I'm always running late.  If you're unfamiliar with TOMS and their One for One campaign click here.
