Travel Bag.

I‘m in need of a highly functional bag to stash all my essentials for our travel plans this summer. A bag with enough cushion to protect my laptop, camera, lens, and kindle without looking like I’m backpacking through Europe for a month. I think I’ve found exactly what I need with The Hundreds Paparazzi Backpack. It has three main compartments to protect my gadgets and it’s not too bulky. Available in black, this would be perfect for my plans traveling low key. Last thing I want to do is attract attention with flashy gear and get jacked.

Speaking of The Hundreds, I’m on my third pair of their Valenzuela Lows. I absolutely love how they feel on my feet. I'm tagging them as my casual summer shoe this year.

Held For Ransom. Again.

Ransom by Adidas Spring/Summer 2010 video lookbook has me on the edge of my seat. I definitely need a pair before my Miami vacation. I am lusting on these babies pretty badly.

Hamptons Approved.

If you're looking for something to solidify your preppy steez this summer, this Toms Madras Slip-On would definitely fit the bill.  Everything about this shoe screams summer beach party or the Hamptons. It might be a little steep at $85, but it will definitely turn some heads. In a good way. Pair the Toms Madras with these shorts and you just got yourself a Daily Lurker stamp of approval.

Billy Reid Spring/Summer 2010

If lookbooks could kill, then I'm already dead. Billy Reid's Spring/Summer 2010 has so many unbelievable pieces. Blazers and shirts are cut slim and short which should suit me perfectly.  The navy linen blazer (pictured above) is a must have.  We need a Billy Reid store in Los Angeles. The full Spring/Summer 2010 collection is now available at Billy Reid.

White Canvas

Wearing all white shoes is similar to painting on a blank canvas. You can leave it up to your imagination to add any color, print, or design to complete the look you're trying to achieve. True white canvas shoes are a 100% must.  The classic look never goes out of style and you can wear it with almost anything in your closet.  Here are my favorite true whites in the market right now.

Katin USA for Apolis Activism Board Shorts

As I’m looking for a fresh pair of board shorts for the upcoming summer season, I came across this Katin USA for Apolis Activism board shorts. I’m going bananas after seeing this collaboration since this is a major double win for me. For one, I am a huge fan of Apolis Activism and their contemporary designs. Secondly, I’ve been a customer and a fan of Kanvas By Katin and their superior quality board shorts for as long as I can remember. I purchased my first ever pair of board shorts from the Katin surf shop off Pacific Coast Highway. Katin was always a stop for me and my childhood friends on our way to surf the Huntington Beach pier. This collaboration takes me back old school 1990’s style when all I ever worried about was getting out of school early enough to catch some waves before sunset. Those were the good ole days. These classic board shorts are now available at Context Clothing.

Classic Summer Kicks

Everyone wears different types of shoes during the summer season. Unless of course you're in the armed forces or own only one pair of shoes. Summertime footwear has to be comfortable and easy to slip on. Socks are not mandatory. It's all about the fun in the sun and spontaneous days and wild nights during summer!

So here are my picks for classic summer shoes:

85 Degrees and Rising

So it's starting to get hot in Southern Cali.  This time of the year is always bitter sweet.  As I say hello to shorts, tanks, tees, polos, and flip flops; I also have to say goodbye to my sweaters, jackets, and boots.  It was 85 degrees in LA last night and I had to bring out my favorite TOMS canvas slip-ons.  TOMS are fantastic.  I'd go ahead and tag them as the best travel shoes of all time.  Not only are they comfortable but TOMS are the easiest pair of shoes to remove during security checks. Beats having to take my socks off and unlace my sneakers only to put them all back together again.  Saves me at least 10 minutes since I'm always running late.  If you're unfamiliar with TOMS and their One for One campaign click here.

Cardigans

If you know me and my personal style, I wear a lot of plain black/grey shirts, button ups, and vests (button up or sweater). But cardigans are starting to catch my eye. Any type of cardigan is on my list right now. I found this pretty sweet A.P.C. cardigan online. Horizontal stripes across the entire body. Best part about it is the stripes the cut as it approaches the shoulders. Comes out REALLY clean and it's perfect for that SPRING/SUMMER wear. Cheeecckkk it out!
