Seavees Buck

If you’ve been recently lurking on men’s fashion sites, I’m sure you’re well acquainted with Seavees. J. Crew has them, James Perse has a limited slip-on, and Steven Alan carries the mocs. After months of going unnoticed, the California inspired footwear line is finally starting to grow on me. I was sold after seeing their version of the classic buck. I was not prepared to drop cash on a pure white/red brick soled buck, so these should ease my transition into buck-erizing this California summer.

Gitman Vintage for Monocle

Can this slim fitting short sleeved summer shirt be any more perfect? This Monocle x Gitman Vintage collaboration will soon be available at the Monocle Shop. I’m lusting on the blue offering of this shirt. My fresh pair khakis and Rachel Comey oxfords can’t wait for this shirt to complete the whole outfit. Too bad I can’t have it in time for our Mother’s Day dinner.

Old With The New.

Levi's archive collection is now available at Steven Alan. Some great old school inspired pieces from a raw stitched hoody to a carpenter-style pocket shirt worth checking out. Vintage is as good as basics, so I'm definitely into it.

S/Double Project

Shawn Stussy sold Stussy in 1996 and is now working on a new project called S/Double. The man practically designed my wardrobe as a teenager. One of the most influential names in streetwear is now branching out into basics. I guess us 30-year-olds have to grow up and stop wearing those bright ass graphic tees at some point. S/Double has got some pieces to smoothen that transition. And if I may add, the S/Double white bucks are the bizness.

Billy Reid Spring/Summer 2010

If lookbooks could kill, then I'm already dead. Billy Reid's Spring/Summer 2010 has so many unbelievable pieces. Blazers and shirts are cut slim and short which should suit me perfectly.  The navy linen blazer (pictured above) is a must have.  We need a Billy Reid store in Los Angeles. I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it until it happens, but Southern California needs a Uniqlo. The Japanese brand always comes out with some of the nicest threads at some of the nicest prices. Perfect fits, perfect cuts, etc, they are flawless. And now, here is their cotton madras collection available now at all Uniqlo locations. I know Big Al is gonna like these...

Dead Meat Camo Tuxedo Jacket.

Damn, I know i would probably never wear anything like this, but in my opinion this is one of the freshest tuxedo jackets. I've always been a fan of camo, and seeing it on something classy like a tuxedo is just too appealing. It even come's equip with a picture of a naked female on the satin lining. No other real information on it, unless you can read Japanese.

Steven Alan Bias Placket Shirt

As if a Steven Alan single needle plaid shirt isn't enough to get my attention, now they released a Bias Placket Shirt in two colors to make me go crazy.  The interesting plaid contrast makes this a one of a kind plaid shirt.  This unique patterned shirt would be a great addition to my plaid full closet.  Bias Placket Plaid Shirts are now available at Steven Alan.

Rodarte Sweatshirts

I'm always on the hunt for a clean cut comfortable sweatshirt and I'm loving these Rodarte sweatshirts.  Simple, slim cut, and looks oh so comfortable. Rodarte just recently jumped on the menswear scene after focusing solely on women's clothing. I'm sure the Mulleavy sisters from Pasadena, CA will bring some great men designs in the upcoming seasons. These new Rodarte sweatshirts are now available at Opening Ceremony.

Patience is a virtue

I ran into these Eastland Seneca boots while shopping at Los Feliz yesterday. The boot was priced at retail and they didn't have my size.  Being the impulsive shopper that I am, I wanted them on the spot and I was really debating whether I should double up on my socks just to fit into the boot. Sounds crazy but it's true. I decided not to force the issue and walked away disappointed. Fortunately, I used my daily lurking skills this morning and found the Eastland Seneca at a much cheaper price online with free shipping and no tax to Cali. Happy Monday!

Anorak jacket

Supreme and North Face linked up once again with a classic collaboration. It’s pretty hypebeast of me to add this to my wishlist this spring but you can’t pass up on a classic jacket such as this. As much as I’m exclusively into basics these days the camouflage print has caught my full attention. The camo jacket with a solid oxford, selvedge denim, and a pair of brown chukkas would be an instant hit. These anorak pullover jackets are now available at Supreme.

There's not much to hate about the color green.
