I know it's a bit off topic from our usual posts, but since all of the bloggers are FILIPINO, I had to include this story I read on CNN's international site.
Closed for almost 20 years "Smokey Moutain" is still a home to dozens of families. Although closed the landfill caters to it's occupants. Residents still rummage through the fill and grow plants in it's high level mercury soil.
