GQ recently ran a great piece on Manny Pacquiao. Being Filipino myself, I should've been automatically a fan by default but it actually took awhile for Manny to grow on me. I'll be the first to admit that I jumped on the Manny Pacquiao bandwagon WAY late. My admiration for Pacquiao truly started when I saw what he was capable of doing outside the ropes. I admire his philanthropic efforts in the Philippines. How one person can give so much hope and lift the spirit of a country is truly remarkable.
